DESCRIPTION:Flooded streets. Rising seas. Looming earthquakes. That’s the new reality for Alameda. The time to act is now.We all chose Alameda for its unique quality of life\, but that quality of life depends on infrastructure that’s disaster-ready.\n\nMeasure L – The SAFER Alameda Act was placed on the November ballot to raise $300M dedicated to funding our infrastructure needs\, including projects to address sea level rise adaptation. Here is a link to the list of projects.\n\nThe measure requires a 2/3rd vote. This means we need two “yes” votes for every “no” vote. DESCRIPTION:While the evening light lasts\, join us for our Encinal Beach Cleanup on the third Tuesday of each month (September 15 and October 20). We will provide the buckets and pickers and students can earn Community Service Hours. Lots of debris washes up at Encinal Beach from the Bay\, so there is always more to clean up. Let’s Do it!
